The Jordan 4 Retro takes inspiration from the iconic 1989 OG ‘Fire Red’ colorway while paying homage to Mars Blackmon, a fictional character popularized in She’s Gotta Have It and a series of classic Air Jordan commercials. A graphic of Mars Blackmon appears on the side profile, adding a unique touch to the design. The shoe’s predominantly black and white color scheme is accented with bold Varsity Red on the sole and lace detailing. Notably, a 2012 retro version of this colorway was released without the Mars Blackmon graphic.
